I have personally visited over 30 different wineries in Chile, and coming from the region of Cognac in France, I have a certain expertise on wine. The wineries we bring out clients to are the ones I find to be the most relevant and interesting -forget Concha y Toro, the heavyweight leader of the industry: their tours are so massive that they are not enjoyable.
Instead, we offer you to choose between tours in 5 different valleys: Casablanca and San Antonio valleys, famous for their white wines; Maipo, close to Santiago; the famous Colchagua valley; and the less frequented and more rural Aconcagua.
The Tasty tour of Casablanca Wineries
The Gourmet Private tour of Aconcagua Valley’s Wineries
The Slightly Unconventional tour of Maipo Valley’s Wineries
- Santa Rita: One of the oldest wineries in Chile, it is still amongst the biggest wine producers today. The vineyards also features a very interesting museum with a lot of objects from the Precolombian time, as well as many old maps.
- Lunch at Santa Rita's restaurant, with good traditional Chilean cuisine.
- Perez Cruz: A young winery, focused on high-quality wines. The building itself is one of the most beautiful and environment-conscious in Chile. Since it is a little-visited winery, you will also have a chance to have a private tour with their guide.
